I was more worried about it a week ago, but the more I think of it, I have faith that the Patriots will find a way of pulling it off. Two weeks to prepare, a strong running game, best coach in the game, Tom Brady, defense that rises to the occasion. Pats 30 / Dolts 21

The Colts look good on paper, but so do a lot of teams. What it comes down to, is who wants it more. I think that what Vanderjerk said over the week is going to help the Patriots. It is going to fire them up. We also have the longest home win streak in the NFL. NOBODY comes into our house and wins. Lust like the Visa commercial.

We also have what we haven't had in a very long time, an effective running game. The off season aquisition of Corey Dillon was one of the best moves that Belicheck made.

I see the Pats winning, but it being a close game.

Pats are favored by 2.
I like the fact that almost everyone in the sports commentary industry is changing their tune and picking the Ponies. I prefer the Pats to be the underdog, and I think they do too.

Brady is 6-0 in the playoffs.
Manning is 0-7 at Foxboro/ Gillette.

You could say both are due.

The Ponies passing barrage looks favorable against our moderate secondary, I think the key here will be pressure on Manning, did you see how well the Ravens upset him? We need to do just that, and then unleash our new add, Dillon and control the time, and score on our first possesion, keep the ball as long as possible. Their D isn't as strong as indicated.

I usually root for any team playing a team that starts with the words "New York", but in the Steelers/ Jets, I hope the Jets kill them(Rothlisbergerer).

Eagles are automatic against pepper and the mooner.

Rams and Falcons should be interesting.

I will be glued to the TV! (On my rollers of course!)

Go Pats!

OK, I haven't payed close enough attention to be saying anything with authority, but I agree with Quo and MTBME.

The Pats have a way of squeaking by, we all know that. The key will be Defense as Belichick knows. Pressure Manning, don't get pass-interference calls in the secondary (more difficult now due to new rules?), and keep the Colts out of Brady's face. I think you-know-who's foot will see some important action.

I don't think the Jets can beat Pittsburgh. I don't even think the Pats can, but that's not thinking "one game at a time".

I like the Belicek genius factor in this one. Manning is going to be flustered as usual against the Pats... even if Seymour does not play. And if the Pats get a break with the weather, for-get-about-it!

Final score: Pats 20 Colts 3

Every team has been able to move the ball on the Pats between the 20's. Everybody knows that. The Pats get real tough in their red zone. They generally give up fewer td's than other defences. They have a reputation of stuffing high power offences short of the goal line.
