I would personally much prefer to contribute to organizations that I support directly than to use a phone card or a particular merchant so as to contribute a pittance.

NEMBA is at a crossroads and we need your support in any and all ways that you're able to provide it.

We want to hire additional folks, we want an office, we want a roving trail care crew, we want to put on a freeride summit, we want to increase what we can do to make mountain biking better in New England.

Very soon, everyone will be getting a letter from me asking for help and support, and I hope that you'll be as generous as you can so we can succeed. Please.....

However, LOTS of folks (myself included) do a lot of shopping on Amazon over the holidays to buy CDs, books, electronics, and all sorts of stuff. Why not use the link on this page (or the NEMBA homepage) to make the purchase? 5% will go to us. It may sound small, but it definitely adds up.

Get all your friends, family, co-workers to use the link. No reason not to, in my mind.

Directions for "Bookmarking" NEMBA's Amazon Affiliate Link.

Since Amazon uses a lot of redirected URLs, you'll need to do the following procedure if you'd like to bookmark the NEMBA affilation link into your Internet Explorer. It's easy, but you need to do a couple of things.

1) Click on this URL below:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?tag=newenglandmou-20&path=subst%2Fhome%2Fhome.html

2) Bookmark the Amazon site once it pops up on your browser

3) Click on Favorites at the top of Internet Explorer, highlight the Amazon icon, and right click on "properties."

4) Copy the URL listed in step 1 into the URL box, then click OK.

This will let you access Amazon.com without having to go through the NEMBA forum or website.
