Despite hearing of long lines, there was no wait in my town of Acton. I was in and out of there in less than 3 minutes.

Maybe this sign scared people away? ;)

Bush obviously put that sign there himself to scare away the poor, black, democratic voters! the BASTARD!!

Just voted here in Leominster. Despite the high turnout, even at 8 AM, there was virtually no wait.

Simsbury, CT at 6am - pretty good crowd for that hour of the day - about 30 people in line. But, not unusual for a presidential election.

I had a local candidate tape a flyer to my brand spankin new mailbox yesterday. When my wife removed the flyer the tape took about 2 inches of paint off the door.

This morning as I went to vote I felt the whole process had been ruined for me. As I stared down at the ballot all I could see was my damaged mailbox. In my mind the true meaning of Democracy has forever been tarnished. I was disenfranchised.....

Anyone know where I can get a lawyer??? ;D

7:15 AM in Uxbridge.. took forever to get to the school (literally just over a mile from my house, 15 minutes in the car, should have rode!) but once inside it was quick. Town Republican commitee was giving away donuts and coffee to people waiting to park, which I thought was ironic.

Dino, where do you ride around Simsbury? My finacee's mother lives in Tarriffville and we're going down there this weekend, and I may have a day to burn...

Cheers,

-Andrew

Nepaug is excellent, pretty close to Simsbury. Highly techincal, some really fast parts. Easy to get lost. I've got another commitment for riding this weekend, but you might want to check that out.

Up here in Nashua at 9:30 am, it took a total of 20 min. That includes waiting for a parking space.

Funny sight in parking lot – there was a small rent-a-moving truck parked at the entrance to the parking lot. On one side, it was covered with Bush/Chaney & Benson signs, on the other side the moving co. had printed: “Moving Tip #12. Remember to wear deodorant on moving day.”

haha, should have covered the other side with Kerry-Edwards & Lynch signs. just to be fair & equal, of course.

20 minute wait in Conway at 8:00 a.m. Long lines, but moved quickly. Biggest crowd I've ever seen at the polls here.

No lines to speak of in Maynard at 8:00 a.m. - One Tip however - Don't let the "Senior shuttle bus" pull into the lot before you ;)

no lines in Dennis at 8:30, but the election is in trouble if the elderly forgeting what street they live on is any indication :-\

Andrew (aka. imploded),

When in Tarrifville, one climbs to the highest point in town and heads south. When you have had enough, turn around. (There's a fair amount of fun in this ridgeline, including Penwood S.P. and even the MDC Reservoir property about 16 miles south of Tarrifville). The most significant bike restriction in Talcott Mountain S.P. - no bikes on the main trail to the Heublein Tower.

No line in Newbury, MA when I got there. The only thing that held me up was talking to Dan Streeter about the HP ride I couldn't go to. Good to see a fellow rider voting.

Claire and I walked over to the polls at 7am and waited about a half hour in line. I was glad to see a big turnout. Apathy sucks.

Tried to talk them into letting Kate vote. My argument was "If dead people can vote in Florida...surely my 2 week old daughter should be able to vote". Funny how the election volunteers don't seem to have any sense of humor.

The guards let me out to vote at noon, no lines, but the trek through the high school was terrible.

Amesbury's hopping -- the traffic was horrendous this afternoon. Dragged my oldest out to vote in her first presidential election.

As I have every year since I was 18 (except for the four years I spent as an Airhead and did the write in thing) I went to the poles with my mom at 6:15 in Greenfield Mass. Heavy traffic, but flow was good and we were able to get in and out quickly.

I guess the blue hairs were digesting their early birds in the Berkalounger. Boy I’m glad mom doesn’t read this web site. ::)

Peace and Democracy,

I voted in Taunton at about 4:00 this afternoon and just got in ahead of a large after-work influx. Thankfully I only waited about 20 minutes. The elderly ladies who were checking voters seemed to be a bit overwhelmed and quite tired. I realize they volunteer to do this job and commend them. Hopefully there weren't too many hangups after I left.

Went to vote in Exeter, NH and was scared at the lines, but once the volunteers figured out that I had voted before they let me through, the new voter line was massive. Must be all those migrants from Mass! As evident by who won the Governors race and the president electoral / popular vote this year as compared to how NH has done previously.

That being said, anybody know where I can buy a house in Mass., I'm not about to pay 2 income taxes!
