Today is the 150th anniversary of the Charge of the Light Brigade. Made famous by Tennison’s poem, which my Dad would recite to us when we were kids (that and Down The Deep Well the Grasshopper fell).
Anybody ever read George MacDonald Fraser “Flashman” series? “Flashman At The Charge” offers a humorous side story to the infamous charge.
