Anybody ridden a Rig yet?
I'm currenlty building up a Van Dessel Buzz Bumb as a 29" Disc SS Softail (Marzocchi Fork) Bu The Rig looks darned near PERFECT with the exception of the rigid fork (Already have a Rigid 26")

I hear Providence Bike will be getting at least one as soon as they are available (no clear time frame given). I've been debating getting one, I'll probably want to demo a 29'er first though. It does look cool and cheaper than builing a Karate Monkey from scratch.

How about a SISS? You want one of those? I know a guy with a wheelset that will go right on it.

The Rig looks like it is going to be a great bike.
29" SS full rigid
What I know about it:
LBS says:
-it will be $800.00
-Available late October, told me not to count on that though,
probably November, which will be just in time for me!!!
Not sure about the color, but the Iron Maiden lettering looks cool.

For me, the SS needs a big old fork up front. The reason being, it helps you carry your momentum through the bumpy junk and it's all about keeping your momentum.
Haven't tried a 29" yet. Looks sort of cool, same as a moped or a fat-chick ;D

Regarding thr Gary Fisher " RIG ". This bike will come equipped with a Rpck Sox Reba SL 29er fork up front....production change at the last minute. Check out the Rock Shox website for more info on the fork. Suggested retail is supposed to be around $ 999.00 and it comes in pearl purple. The 2005 G.F. website now shows it with the new fork and the inside reps have confermed it also.

Hmmm.....
I have mixed emotions on this,
I liked the $800 price tag with rigid fork.
