WE NEED YOUR HELP!
On September 25th we will be participating in a very special bike ride. For the past several years Mark and his friends have completed the 100 mile Seacoast Century ride but this year it will have a new significance for us. For Kirsten it will be the first time she has ridden 50 miles in a day. For Mark it will be the first time attempting a 100 miles while towing a child trailer in memory of our son Aidan Lance Desrochers in a fundraising effort to support Children's Hospital.
As many of you know we lost our son who had hypoplastic left heart syndrome. There is still a lot of research that needs to be done and the cause of this type of heart defect is still unknown. We feel that God gave us this challenge for a reason. We would like to use this experience to make a difference for other families. Therefore we are asking for you to sponsor us for this ride. The money will be donated to the Aidan Lance Desrochers Memorial Fund at Children’s Hospital in Boston. This money will be used for medical advances in pediatric cardiology. This type of research assists with treatment and possible prevention in the near future.
We realize that we are not alone, and that everyone has his or her own obstacles. Some of your loved ones are dealing with illness, other struggles or have passed away and we wish to carry their names with us as we ride on our journey. You may email us their names at mkkd@comcast.net It is because of the love and support of others that we are strong today.
