.hey fellow riders, just a heads up that ive been contacted by a couple of overseas scam artists looking to buy my ellsworth joker. two in particular, martins_lake@fastermail.com and prof.shinjiwoolei@elvis.com
what to look for is not really being interested in what your selling, just want it,
will pay more than what your asking
will use private shipper.
watch out for these scum bags. i went on a scam website and they described everything to a 't' and it mathed perfectly. be careful people

scam artists are common on ebay. this guy was selling a complete intense downhill bike for $1500 and all of his other auctions were normally expensive bikes at low prices or other things like cartier watches, laptops, and telescopes. plus all of his items are in spain. i was first drawn in by the supposedly good deal but after seeing everything else he was selling i knew that something wasnt right with all of those deals.

yeah that's a long running scam........they've tried to get me on several occasions
the other part of that scam is that after you've agreed to move forward in the transaction with them, they'll ask you to deposit the check, and give the large amonut of extra cash they were willing to pay to the supposed shipper or to their "friend", then when you go back to look at your bank account, you find that the check has been cancelled, and you are out the $300-800 you paid.
thereby leaving you without a bike, without their cash, and without your cash.
I just delete any foreign sounding emails......that sounds horrible, but that's what it's come to >:(
