Vietnam 8/8/04

Went to Vietnam today with IF_Rider, Evil:Bota, CP, SloMoJo, and Shattered Frame. We met at the AAC at 9, and proceded to ride 8.5 miles, and play on a bunch of rocks.

While we were playing on these rocks, a couple of kids on hard tails came by and put us all to shame. They rode these rocks, while none of us could.

After the ride, we enjoyed IF_Rider's hospitality, and Evil and Shattered did this

A wonderful time was had by all, even by me, the slowest rider of the group. Sorry for making you guys wait for me, thanks for a good ride. I got to ride parts of 'Nam that I've never ridden.

Nice Pic's Paul. Good to meet ya and we didn't have to really wait for ya. We all needed the rest. If_Rider and C.P. put us to shame again.Lou was king of the hills and SMJ WAS mister TENACIOUS ..He musta tried this little rock climb 40 + times..lol Thanks to Mike for hosting and Shatteredframe for the grub.. 3 weeks I'll be ready again..lol BEEEEER!!!!!

I can't wait to go back out there. I'm moving into my house in waltham in two weeks. Nam, Lynn, Dracut... ahh so many playgrounds.

Fun day for sure. Good group and a good ride with lots of play time. Thanks again for the steaks Lou, good stuff!! QF, good pics and perfect pic of the dual flips too...next time try to leave some water in the pool for the kids ;D

Hey Thanks Guys. I had a great time! It was a perfect mix of stops for play and such. That pic on those rocks does no justice as to how tough that line was...those 12Cent riders humbled me for sure - I only wish those rocks were right in my backyard - I want to make that line now...Keep me posted for the next one - CT sounds good!
Oh yeah - I wished I could have stayed for the grub...my wife got her afternoon road ride in and all is well!

And thanks to CP and Quo Fan for the lessons on what the heck a "manual" was -vs- a "wheelie drop". Not that I'm that die hard a XC rider, just that I'm a chicken shyt.

Slo-Mo-Jo thanks for the fantastic burger ho-de-o's. (my french is terrible) Only with MT. Bikers could a half of a hamburger be considered a pre-meal snack! :P

Quo Fan, nice shot of EB and I cleaning the pool for IF. Jeez you'd think after us swimming in it he would have wanted to change the water, ingrate!

IF, EB I'll post those movies of you guys doing the big roller. once I figure out how to rotate them 90 degrees and resave them. My camera saves in "avi" format, so you'll want to have a player that reads that. I know that Apple's Quicktime does, not certain about Windoze Media Player.

Quo, I liked your pace. It's the other guys I have issue with. In fact, I'm trying to decide if I should get in better shape or just change my riding buddies. ;D

Funny stuff Evil...I did try a lil section manyOtimes....all with the same impressive results. Zippo. It was great fun tho...always is with you guys.
