I have one more day to ride like I wanna before my family returns on Saturday evening. I'm thinking of doing a ride at Arcadia - probably 15-20 miles, moderately fast pace (7-8 mph for those with bike computers) on Saturday morning starting at around 8:30 or 9:00. Probably 3-4 hours for those who can't do math ;D
I'll be riding mainly on the side north of 165, with a short foray into the Mt Tom ledges on the south. Due to the distance from my house, rides at Arcadia while the family is here is difficult - carpe diem.

Should be a great day for it, where are you going to park ? I was planning on riding Arcadia on Saturday anyway, I can see if I can get anyone else to come along (although early Saturday mornings can be tough) ;)

I'll be starting from the fishing spot next to the river right off 165. Its on the right as you're driving down 165, away from 395. The Mt Tom trail starts right there. Sorry I don't know the place well enough to describe it better than that. I've got a map at home. I'll put a better description up tonight.
Let me know if you're definitely in and I'll be there at a specific time.

The place I usually park is next to the Wood River. If you are going east on 165, the pull off is on the right just after you cross the river. The Mt Tom trail (white) starts there. I'm not saying I HAVE to start there, but I know (I think) a decent loop from there.

I'm heading out to a company picnic. I'll check the board tonight when I get back. If you want to join me, meet me at the parking lot indicated above, ready to ride at 9:00. I'm assuming a solo ride unless advised otherwise.

I was planning on making it and I will try to be there. I drove something (?) into my right quad last night at Big River while on a 2 hour SS ride. Still not sure what the hell happened (those are the best crashes). Anyway I rode into work this morning to try to keep the leg moving and I have to make it home :P I'll have to see how it feels in the morning. It's a big bruise right now and it stiffens up quickly. I may just spin on the road tomorrow. If you don't see me at 9:00 don't wait for me.

What a ride! Weather was perfect. I did 27 miles solo. Yeah ok I got lost so not all of those miles are on different trails :P but it was 3 1/2 hours of goodness.
I hope everyone got out.

Nice pic, I did get out to Arcadia but much later in the day. My girlfriend and I went for a two hour ride. It was beautiful yesterday, today too for that matter. We stuck to some Fire roads and Sand Hill trail. I needed to take it easy due to my crash on Thursday and I'm trying to encourage my girlfriend riding as much as possible (it's been happening slowly but she has come a long way in a very short period of time).

Cool. I have been trying to encourage my wife to ride more as well. I made the mistake a few weeks ago of thinking she was further along than she was. She ended up walking probably half the ride. Not cool. I learned my lesson though. I guess I underestimated how tough that trail (Salmon River) really is. Arcadia would be a good beginners place, there are a lot of wide trails and fire roads besides the technical stuff.
Glad you got out.
