I tip my hat to ya Bill.
I would not even try such a stunt.

I mean I could do it if I really wanted to, but with the ACL thing and all. You know what I mean.

Plus I'm not one to flaunt my skills as others do. ;)

Ha
It's been so long I should probably start a new forum name.
"Adrift" or something. ;)

Dude, I was bummed when I heard I just missed your ride in Nam Sunday morning. I just returned from vaca that afternoon, and rode with Splat around Hopkinton Res.
I'm sucking wind as ussual, but it's good to be on the bike again. Splat is trying to whip me into shape on the lunchtime rides.

Wassup for this w\e?

Well I could be talked into going there again, but If we want If_Rider to join us we might have to help paint his house after.
All he has to do is offer beer and food and I'm in..lol

Cheap labor I say!

HE has excellent crashing form. Note how he stays with the bike, holds the bars, and rolls out using whats left of his forward momentum.

And whats up with that SloMo. Goes off fishing in his little boat for months then comes back and is right back to his old tricks. I relize no one pays attention to any of his threads but why must he always hi-jack the ones about me. Does he think it's easy making a specticle of yourself to garner attention. Let me tell you it most certianly is not. There is alot of brusing, and chafing involved.

Did you really crash like that every time? Are you sure none of those pictures are staged? Especially the one where you are lying on the bridge? That really must have hurt, full body plant and all.

I must say none of those pics were staged , that was one very tricky bridge.

Lots of people fell from it. I my self was too chicken to even try in :o

I fall alot, you get used to it. If you learn to fall properly and keep an escape plan in your head as you attempt stunts then you can avoid most serious consequences.
I was able to pull the rear wheel back under the bike in the air on most of those and able to dive roll on others. It was a high stunt and poorrly constructed. Thrown together is more like it. It wobbled side to side and the planks bowed under rider weight. Two people fell off walking it.
The face plant pic is a bit deceiving. It was very slomotion right at the starting ramp. I followed the bike and held on then layed my sholder on the ramp. As i rolled over to get up , my great friend :-\Splat ::) was snapping away. At least that is how i remember it.
Its a great picture, i'll take the ridicule and laugh along with everyone else.

I'm surprised you guys don't break more collar bones! The instinct to reach for the ground with your hand when falling is to powerful to resist.

Allow me to instruct the young grasshoppers on the correct method to land forward without getting hurt.

First thing that should happen is that your chin becomes attached to your chest. This is so that you won't land on your forehead.

Reach with your hands with your fingers pointing togetherso your palms will impact the ground first.

When your hands impact the ground, curl your back and keep your arms stiff, but bent. Roll up your arm, over your shoulder, and down your back.

If done properly, and no large or pointy rocks have impacted your back, you should end up in a standing position.

Wearing a hydration pack helps cushion the impact on your back.
