The trail off of Pine Point to the new development (nicknamed the 5 Boardwalk Trail) is impassable because of logging, and it's recommended not to use this trail until further notice.

Sections of this trail cross private property and recent houselot clearing has destroyed sections of the trail. We're working with the land manager to fix the problem. It may entail a re-route.

I noticed that. Is that part of the trail under easement to the state from the landowner at this time?

I'm not sure what sort of legalities come into play. When Big Moose and I rode the trail Sunday and saw the devastation, we paid a visit to the land manager's office to report it.

This is true! My main concern is that the area that might be legitimate DCR property might be quite wet. I'm planning to go out there with the ranger to see what we can do.

Currently, the DCR has cordoned off the trail.
