I left my house 5 AM Saturday to meet up with the boys for breakfast in Fryeburg. After chowing down we headed up to Hastings to ditch the cars, strap on the packs and roll some sick trails.

Beat down but not broken.

This trip was not for the whiny or the weak. We biked/hiked in about 11 miles to where we camped and went out pretty much the same route. It was a huge effort with primo rewards of vistas, swimming holes and gnarly trails.
Todd should have some more good pics.

Great looking terrain, guys! I was so tempted to join you, but after 10 days in B.C. I owed my family a bit of time.

Where's that swimming hole? I'm on a quest to find all the best holes in the Whites.

Nice pics Todd. Sick picture of Ian at the swimming hole!!

Did it rain at all up there?

We had a few sprinkles Saturday AM, but that was it. Weather was perfect.

All I can say is, I'm so sore I can barely walk today! :o

I was pretty stiff yesterday. It was good to meet up with you guys there.

Where's that swimming hole? I'm on a quest to find all the best holes in the Whites.

On Saturday we stopped about 1/4 mile below Spider Bridge. Looked like a few good holes down there. Ever been to the swimming hole behind the Stone House? Great Place!

Radair: are you asking people to post their secret stash on the web???Too funny! ;D

Seeing Todd's photo of that garter snake which popped up between my feet reminded me... on our way down yet another snake (I think a gopher snake) droped out of a tree and almost landed on my head!!! Man, am I a snake magnet, or what?

I would never expect anyone to post their secret stash on the web.... but they could e-mail it to me ;D
