Had an excellent SS ride last night. PK, AA (on gears), Stig and myself started from my place for the "big-loop". This ride takes you from Bedford to Concord on the old RR bed, through Estabrook to a bunch of little know trails in Carlisle into Great Brook park and then back to Estabrook via some other trails.

Good time. We were able to keep a good solid pace and rode most of the good junk in Great Brook including the new trail. Much fun. We lost Stig who had to limp home on the road with a blown sidewall on his rim and later back at RT225 PK (yes, PK) bailed with extreme hand fatigue (too much action lately?).

AA and I finished the ride off in less than 3.5 hrs with 37 miles at an 11.2 mph avg. All in all, an excellent weeknight offroad adventure.

Good ride for sure. Gears make my knees and back much happier.

With Stig & PK not finishing the ride there were more burritos and beer for me after the ride.......... mmmm burritos and beer

Yeah, hands are mondo bruised. Nothing like no gloves on a rigid SS going way fast for..... hours! I only ended up with a bit over 30 miles.

I iced the hands last night and am on lots of advil now! Even typing hurts!

Oh yeah? Get yourself a real crankset that will actually --who would have thunk it? -- stay on the bottom bracket!
