Skills Series 2004
Clinic #4
A Greater Boston/North Shore NEMBA Joint Venture

The North Shore and Greater Boston Chapters of the New England Mountain Bike Assoc. invite you to attend the Skills Series 2004. Members Derrick Click and William Piotte will be holding a series of mountain bike skills clinics in parks north of Boston beginning in May. There is no cost to attend and previous MTB experience is not required. All we ask is that you bring a working bicycle and a helmet. We don't go far or fast, we just have fun.

The fourth clinic in the series takes place at the Harold Parker State Park next week, Thursday evening June 17. We will be meeting at the Jenkins Road parking area at the corner of Harold Parker Road. The clinic starts at 6pm. Participants are encouraged to use liberal amounts of bug repellant and bring water.

The Agenda,

Introductions. You already know your name but let the rest of us know what it is.
Balance drills. Those pesky cones keep jumping under your wheels
Log hopping. Yes, you have to stay on the bike
The blow down trail. 17 trees in 100 yards. Don't worry, we keep doing it till you get it right.
Group ride. Back before dark? how dark?
Rain will postpone. Updates will be posted to the North Shore and Greater Boston E-mail lists as well as the Massachusetts ride board on the Nemba Forums. Sign up for the e-mail lists at nemba.org under the digital nemba menu.

Derrick has a previous engagement so i will be on my own for this one. If you ever considered helping out, now would be the time. Come and teach a newbie. You might rekindle that old excitement from when you were first starting out.

Bill,
I may be there to add a helping hand.
If I don't leave for the north country tonight.
