Is the NEMBA chapter in RI around? I just stumbled across this site and it looks great, except for the lack of RI stuff. I have been riding around here for years, and wanted to become a bit more active in restoration and involvement in Ri MTB.

I usualy ride at Big River, or Lincoln Woods. Used to ride at Arcadia, but just haven't in a while.

Please let me know if you guys get together and ride, or if anything in RI happens.

Thanks!

Greg

RINEMBA is alive and well. They just replaced a boardwalk and bridge in Arcadia on Sand Trail. They have a e-mailing list that informs you about rides and trail work days.

The bridge work was done yesterday, and we did some work a little further up Sand Hill earlier this year. Our Spring Fun Ride was the 23rd. I'll try to get some pics form yesterdays bridge building event (72 feet of bridge !). We are definitely still active, we're working on getting a new website built in the near future as well. I'll post our next meeting, not sure if we are meeting next week or not. If you are up for riding LW some time after work let me know. I'll probably be out there this week (Thursday night ? - depending on if I shake this cold I just inherited from my girlfriend).

No one asked but I think RI NEMBA ought to form a Narragansett NEMBA and annex some of the CT NEMBA riders (and funds) from Eastern CT. CT NEMBA is mainly focused on CT west of the CT River. Most CT NEMBA members who live in Eastern CT ride in RI frequently.

This new group would lay claim to many fine riding areas like Bluff Point/Haley Farm, Pachaug, Arcadia, Big River and Burlingame. These area must cover at least 40,000 acres, that's a lot of single track.
