Many thanks go to the twenty or so hearty souls who braved the elements today to make day one of our two day event so successful. All the lumber is cut and on site as we begin to build our bridges tomorrow. Who knows, maybe with enough people, we can get that little benching project done, enabling us to complete the trial ahead of schedual. We need you!!

Come on out, the hard works done!!

See the seacoast website for all the deatils ;D

I am so amazed at how much we accomplished today, this was the hardest part of the job, getting over a ton of lumber moved close to a mile and a half to the two boardwalks we need to build on Sunday.
With all the back and forth trips we made today, this hardworking crew each put in about ten miles of hiking heavy, soaking wet, pressure treated lumber to the bridge locations.
That is over 150 miles of hiking by the group today!
When we got back to the camp site we were treated to subs and pizza from the good folks at Pizza by George in Raymond (great stuff) and Smuttynose brewing supplied assorted cases of their fine brews, including a very secret, brand spanking new offering and we were all thrilled with the result. So new it's just hitting the shelves and not even on the website yet! Very tasty, it's a winner, thank you Smuttynose! And we all got a kick out of the label, hilarious!
We even had cake to celebrate Peter and Mark's birthday, Happy Birthday guys! Thanks to Hannafords for supplying the cups, plates and all the other necessities to feed the volunteers.

There is still plenty to do, assemble the boardwalks, do some benching and clean up a few spots. With a lot of help we can get this trail completed and approved by the state so we can start riding! It won't be long now if we can get enough people to chip in.

Come on out, build spanking new singletrack, it's fun and personally rewarding. Did I mention there is plenty of Smuttynose left? (shameless bribe)

We are back at it on Sunday, so come join us, I promise you won't be "board"!

WOW! Another great turnout today, despite a dismal forcast! Thanks go out to all of you who volunteered to work today....you did a tremendous amount of work that made a huge difference in the trail. You folks really outdid yourselves today!

So much has been done now, all of the lumber has been haled, the 24 foot bridges have been framed and set, with decking completed on one bridge, most of the benching and brushing has been completed...the list goes on!

The trail is getting close, can't wait to see what happens after the next trail care day on June 6th!!!!!

Had a lot of fun yesterday building the bridges.

The snemba.org site should have pix up by the middle of the week.

The trail is really getting close....

I can't wait to ride it!

It was a fun day, even with the damp conditions & the skeeters.
That trail is going to be a blast to ride! :D

Cool beans!

Hey, ArmsOn

You might want to let people know what the upcoming dates are for the project at the bottom of this page. Or maybe a link to future events.

Good idea

The next trail building day at Pawtuckaway is Sunday June 6, 2004.

The trail is really coming along, this is going to be a great addition to the park!

Any person interested, who needs more information, or has questions, should contact David Heath- the trail ambassador for Pawtuckaway at:

He has done a great job spearheading this (IMO).
