I'm thinking of selling my '99 Homegrown 4 Banger. I would prefer to sell it local. It is a 19" and should fit anyone 5 '10 - 6'1 or so. I'm willing to be a little flexible with the price because it will need a new chain, cassette and middle ring by the end of this season, and the fork, while maintained and very dependable, is getting a little older ('01 Psylo SL). If you go the mailorder route the drivetrain parts will run about $80 - 90 (XT cass, Sram chain and ring), a bit more if you do the LBS the favor.

Parts are as follows: XT discs ( I will be having the rear bled shortly), Psylo SL fork, King HS, XT BB (square taper) and XT cranks, LX rear der., XT shifters, Tomac post, QR clamp, SDG Belair saddle, Bonti racelite stem, Monkey lite bar, ODI grips, SID rear shock, WTB moto rapor 2.4s (old but you'll probably have your own tire preferance anyway).
Wheels - these are nice, WTB momentum hubs on Mavic F519 rims. They are not that heavy for stout wheels and help the bike ride lighter than it is. I'm keeping the pedals (if you need them let me know, we can figure it out). Also I'll include the rear shock pump and SID adaptor.

It has been a great bike but I've been spending way more time on my HT and two singlespeeds, never mind the road riding and cyclocross bike on/ off road exploration rides.
I paid $1450 in 2001 for it and hate to see it go, they aren't making these anymore. It's a great trailbike that was a little ahead of it's time. It's a super stable, great climber that can easily handle NE technical riding and light drops etc. - Great starter FS ride. Take a look at the pic and let me know if you have any questions. $800.
Thx - Brendan
