Years ago I rode from Tower Pond to Bear Brook SP. I would very much like to lead that ride sometime in the near future but, alas, I can't remember the route. Anyone interested in sharing some info or maybe going for a long SLOW ride with me some weekend?

Lemme no ;D

I'll go anytime. I've done it twice, it's an underated trail but lots of fun. A few years back a bunch of my friends and I rode with camping gear strapped to our backs and bikes, we camped the night at BB and the next day rode back to our cars parked on tower pond road. It's amazing how many moose you see up there.

Camping? I've never thought of that! It would certainly lesson the "death ride" stature. Turn it into an epic ride! Thanks for your thoughts. Anyone else??

--UPDATE--

I had some time on my hands today and decieded to recon trail 15. Piece of cake. It's exactly eleven miles from the parking lot on Depot rd. to the Ferret trail in Bear Brook. Look for this ride to happen again later in the season. 8)

This sounds like fun.
Would like to do this in June/July.
What do you guys use to haul your gear?
Ever do anything like this up north (White Mtns area)?
Any recommendations?

It can all fit on your back if you do it right.
I pack very light. Sleeping bag and sleeping pad. No tent. In case of rain I pack a tarp. That's just for one night, if longer I would probably bring a small tent. For food I pack those MRE'e from REI. And for alcohol a flask will do.

What type of pack?
I have a internal frame pack for overnight hiking trips, but it acts as a neck brace and I can't tilt my head back with it on, I suppose if I ditched the tent I would have more room.
I'll have to mess with it, I have a while anyways.
