vapor trails

Riding around the maze today, I couldn't help but notice very large track marks on some of the fire roads. I followed them around towards the southern end of Fire Line and to my amazement, a skidder was there tearing up the forrest. A small section of Fire Line is badly damaged and will probably need to be rerouted. I stood by and watched for about ten minutes. They seem to be selecting trees with a ten to twelve inch diameter. Much caution is needed when riding this trail. I'm sure the operator of the machine didn't notice me and trees are falling near the trail at a rate of about one every thirty seconds.
