Trails Anyone?

My wife and I have been tossing around the idea quite seriously of moving from West Hartford, CT to somewhere around the Brattleboro, VT area. We can get a nice house with some land for the price of a shack here in Connecticut. Truth be told, I am getting sick to my stomach with worry that the riding will suck or be hard to come by. The riding in Connecticut is really good, with lots of options for variety. Also, I work from home and Mountain Biking is where most of my social interaction comes from.

Anyone know how the general riding in the Brattleboro / Marlboro area is? Am I making a horrible mistake if I move 1 ½ hours north to Brattleboro from West Hartford? Being self employed, my early morning spin around West Hartford res is essential for stress reduction.
