Rode at Greatbrook Park yesterday afternoon....what a mess.

Heartbreak Ridge/Trophet Loop is completely cut off by the pond which has overflowed to form a giant lake. From the other side, the wetlands at the culvert after Keyes trail is now a river--impassable.

The main road through the Park (North Road) is washed out at the small bridge at Pine Point Loop.

In general, it is very wet. Not the best place to ride at the moment. I imagine it will take sometime to dry out.

I rode there last night after work and things seem to have dried out considerably. There's still a lot of water in the woods, but the trails themselves seem decent. The crossing at the culvert is still wet, but it's now just a couple of small puddles. There were also a few muddy spots on some of the doubletrack trails closer to the barn.

Heartbreak and Tophet were both dry. I was in a hurry (and wiped out - a winter of not riding wasn't too helpful) so I didn't get a chance to do Keyes, Stone Row, or anything on the other side of Lowell Rd.

I did pick up my season parking pass, though. Still $35 for residents at the office on Lowell Rd. I guess I got the last hang tag, so if you go within the next few days they may not have any left.

Oh, and the May flies are *awful* right now! Every time I stopped to get my heart rate back down they'd swarm me and force me to keep rolling.
