I leave tomorrow for my first trip to UT. Its a family trip so I'll be squeezing bike rides in when I can. We're flying out to SLC where we're picking up an RV.
I'm really psyched, not only to be heading to UT, but also to get away from this job for a bit.
Be back with pics in a couple weeks.

Damm you cats have great familys to vacation out there just for you. So what are the family members going to do while you ride. Is their a resort or amusment park out there for them to hang around.Or am I way off and you all ride as a family? Serious question????

I'm back.
SE Utah and Moab specifically are definitely very cool places, totally dedicated to getting people outside and enjoying the place. No exclusion there, bikes, motorcycles, four wheelers whomever. Awesome views, weather and people. Camp where you want (we rented an RV in SLC). Lots of open spaces.
I've got over a hundred photos on my camera. Digital cameras are cool 'cause you can view and delete bad shots right away, hopefully there are no stinkers in there. I'll get 'em up on the web sometime in the next week. We did something like 9 rides in 10 days, probably 15 hikes? Pretty damn cool. Kids had a great time as well, they were very bummed about coming home (always a sign of a good vacation).
More later... Didn't get to hook up with Radair, limited cell phone coverage and family came first.
Do Moab, its worth it.

Answers to E:B's question:
Moab is kind of a strange place. Its a small town of 3500. Short of a kind of quaint downtown area and a small waterpark I don't think there's anywhere to drop anyone off. It is an excellent place to go to enjoy the outdoors though. Arches and Canyonlands National Parks are nearby as is Deadhorse State Park. I didn't look at it like a biking vacation as much as a family vacation. After the third day my kids and wife both were saying, "we should do more biking...". No arguments here!
I went with the expectation of getting in one or two epics by myself or with other riders in the area. As it turned out that didn't happen. I got in a lot of 10-15 mile rides with the kids (11 and 13) and wife. We picked rides carefully, with most being at or slightly above their technical abilities. We rode slowly and took a lot of breaks. I'll bet between the four of us we ate 50 Clif bars. The scenery kept even slow rides interesting. I was always able to find some technical stuff to ride as well. I also did the ride back and catch up thing whenever I could.

Coupla pics.
My son and I riding the slickrock practice loop. He did great, but after avoiding a nasty fall the first 1/4 mile he walked a decent percentage of the steep transitions.

My daughter and son riding on the Sovereign single track - if you go out, this one is not to be missed (we all agreed on that one!).

We were lucky to meet someone to take a group shot photo for us on Dalton Wells. Its not much of a ride, but the slick rock riding there was almost as good as the slickrock trail itself.

Ok. Last one for now. I've got a lot of editing to do to get all these photos ready to go... of course many are hiking related.
This one is riding down the slick rock out of Klondike Bluffs, an awesome ride that drops you off at a point where you leave your bike on a rack then hike a 1/2 mile or so to a overlook into Arches National Park. Pretty awesome. Very windy though, so the cliff edge was a bit more dangerous than I like for my kids (not that they would go out on it).
