Hello All!
Mark your calendars, the kick off date for work on the new State approved 2.2 mile singletrack trail in Pawtuckaway State Park is Sunday, April 25th. Come be part of history as this trail will be around for a very long time. There is plenty to be done: raking, brushing, benching, rock work, you name it, it’s a brand new trail! We are going to meet at 9:00, define tasks and break up into crews by 9:30. We’ll meet at the main gate headquarters parking lot. This is a very large project, please do all you can to make it. This will be THE best trail in the Park and you will feel good to have been a part of it.
Directions: Take 101 to exit 5, Raymond. Head north on 107, at the Irving gas make a left. Look to make almost an immediate right onto 156. Take 156 for about a mile, be looking on your left for a big brown Pawtuckaway SP sign and make a left onto Mountain Rd. Follow Mountain Rd for aprox 1 ½ - 2 mi, look for the park entrance on your left. The main parking lot and headquarters building will be to your right. We will meet there.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Bring lunch, water, gloves, and your bike if you want to ride after.
See you on the trails!
Len

Part of the reason I got into mtbking is the feeling of comraderie you get when meeting someone on a ride or maybe while your cutting back some face slappers on your favorite trail. I can't help but get excited about our Pawtuckaway wkend knowing our good friends from FOMBA will be there. Big time thanks to Peter DeSantis, Kevin Cox and everyone at FOMBA. You guys rock!

More great news for Pawtuckaway!
This is so exciting! Dave has been awarded a $4000 grant from the great State of NH to help with the construction of this trail!!!
Anybody looking for a hero of the year, yep that would be Dave!

scitech, vaportrails, are you guys up to going out to Bear brook sat ? kevin says there's a couple of big trees down across little bear, then I'd like to go out to pawtuckaway to mark the easiest way to get the lumber out to the bridge areas? I'd like to be clear on the stretch of trail that we'll be working sun. ??

WOW! What a great turnout for the first workday to cut in the new trail at Pawtuckaway! Close to 30 riders came to help out....I was truly impresed!
So much got done, from an enourmous benching challenge to the brushing out of a big chunk of the trail...just too cool!!
Someone took photos.....maybe they will get posted here??
Thnaks go out to each of the riders that volunteered their time on such a beautiful day to work on this important project. We could not have gotten that work done without your time and effort. 8)
If this is any indication of how much work we can get done, the weekend event on May 22-23 is going to be a blast...and we are going to so much closer to getting the trail completed. See you all then!!

I can't believe how close we are to the big weekend..only 11 days to go!!!!!
With such a great turnout (more than 30 hardowrking trailworkers!) on the last trail day...I can't wait to see how many show up for the weekend, with the free food and adult beverages 8), never mind the fun of getting the new singletrack closer to open!
If we get another great response, we can get so much done.....lets' keep 'em crossed for some good trail building weather!!!!
