Now that we're getting some warm weather and the trails are drying out from our rain onslaught. What tires do you ride and what's so good about them?

I just got a pair of 2.3 UST Hutch Spyders. Man is this a sweet tire. Great traction and it's really wide. Nice nice nice.

I run a continental vertical pro 2.3 in the front which i love. Just changed to a continental survival pro 2.3 in the back from IRC mytho 2.1.

I have Hutchinson Mosquitos on right now as the ground is still moist (though I do not like it as a front tire). Normally, I really dig the 2.1 Fire XC Pros and am looking for a bargain. I had Hutchinson Pythons during one dry summer, but when the ground gets wet they are terrible.

Usually WTB Velociraptor 2.1s, currently Motoraptor 2.5s for a bigger footpring in spring conditions.

Meaningless Q&A absent type of riding and type of bike, IMO.

Well, in reponse to previous post, I'm on a Titus Racer-X and ride mostly in the Blue Hills, single track where possible.

2.3 Vertical Pro up front
2.1 Nokian Gazzi on the rear

Best combo I've found so far.

wtb velocoraptors 2.1 in back for a good trail ride. But when it is time to hit the rode i swap over to a bontranger semi slick makes me feel fast.

IRC Kujo 2.65 front and rear, IRC Mythos XC 1.95K Front and rear, some cheap semi-slick.

That's right, I have 3 bikes.

hurray for my new 2.3 nokian gazzi duals for technical mud, rocks and little drops! these things are like spiky pufferfishes.
then 2.1 maxxis larson tt's when it turns to hardpack. i figure on missing the transition season which would require an "all-around" tire.

For XC racing and general riding around
WTB Mutano Raptor 2.4 up front (28-30 PSI)
Kenda Karma Stick-e 2.1 in the back (38-42 PSI)

This will be my second season running this combination. Never failed me (no flats) once. Worked awesome in my 24 hour race too.

nokian nbx 2.3 up front and gazzi core 2.3 in the back, works great for me. i also have a set of hookworms i use for street type riding. for narrower tires, i like wtb velociraptors. these are all my non-winter tires. nokian extreme 296 for winter

Ritchey zmax pro 2.3's. Had on one the front years ago and liked it. Ritchey reintroduced them a year or so ago and I couldn't resist. Compare them to conti survival 2.3's. Sweet on Mavics. A bit tight on Rhynos.

2.1 Fire XCs here as well. But I'm an opportunist. I'll buy what I can get a good deal on. I got a steal on a rear Motoraptor last year. As soon as my current rear wears out, I'll be slapping that one on. I put some 2.3s on my son's bike, I'd like to try something a little wider next time I buy some for my bike.

I've been using Motoraptor 2.4's on my bike for a few years now. I've found them to be good in all conditions but ice (duh.) The larger tire means I can ride a lower pressure without pinch flats and they aren't as heavy as a full on downhill tire. They also last very well. The set I currently have on my bike is over a year old and going strong. I've probably put 2500 miles on them. Amazing.

I would like to try some sticky rubber tires for rain rides.

Runnin Motoraptor 2.4 also (rear) have a Mutanoraptor 2.4 up front. It's relatively new tire combo for me - and it seems to meet the bill nicely. I always liked the Tioga Factory DH 2.1s ft/rr on me trail bike - they took a beating (tough sidewall/never pinched), but wore out quickly.

Weirwolf Race 2.5 fr & rear - really light for such a big tire.

Michelin Wildgrippers on the HT.
