What: A spring cleaning of Borderland trails.
Where: Borderland State Park - Bay Road Parking Area (Pay to Park area - parking pass avail at main entrance)
When: Sunday April 18th starting at 9AM. Rain Date TBD
Why: To help Park Staff and All Trail Users by getting the trails ready for the season, and to assess for future needs. Work will mostly include removal of any blowdowns and lopping of over growth.
How: By Bike! Since SEMASS NEMBA has aquired two new BOB work trailers, we'll be putting them to good use. Bring your bikes and come prepared to ride and do a little trail maintenance. We'll supply the tools and safety gear (Chainsaw, loppers, etc.) - If you have a pair of pruning shears, or lopping shears that you can carry easily while on your bike, feel free to bring them. I recommend bringing work gloves and water too. We'll be breaking into two groups if enough people show, and riding a sweep of all the trails.
If you are interested in helping out, you can email or call Chris Patrick at 617 512 5441 to confirm your attendence or gather more information. Or - Feel free to just show up. Should be about 3 hours.
