We have a great riding series lined up for everyone, so mark your calendars and try to make as many as you can.

We have a bunch of new sponsors this year, so there will be tons of swag giveaways at the parties after!

The first event is Sunday, May 23rd at Lynn Woods.

This event will support NEMBA's Lynn Woods Ranger Fund, so whether you ride Lynn a lot or have never been, it's important to support this ride!

Jaime created a special 100 barrel brew with his own signature on the label. Maybe you could convince him to create a really watery brew just for you!

Hey, I represent that, Splat!

This series is all about fun and camaraderie. We should try to stage a forum ride at them! All the events start at 9am and registration ends at 11.

What say we have forum members meet at 10:30am. We all can hang, ride and drink afterwards? This would leave me enough time to help with registration, ride with you guyz and still make the party.

BTW: Lynn is a must-ride destination!

I agree. Wompy is a great place to ride. Last summer's loop was great. I kept riding it all year. Seems like that would be a good place for all levels of riders too.

The great think about Wompi is that even if there is no official mt bike event you can go there and follow the mt bike loop without getting lost. it is also one of the few places with a map detailed enough that you virtually cant get lost.

One of my first times riding there (before I had a map) I got really lost. Let me tell you, when the sun is going down, you have no idea where you are in relation to the parking lot and all of a sudden you come across those abandoned, post-apocalyptic buildings... scarry. Now I make it a point to ride past those buildings when I bring friends who haven't ridden there before. Very cool.

yea without the map all the letters and numbers on the trees dont do much for you.

there are alot of unmarked trails in wompy. there are a ton near "the playground". that's my favorite place to go when i'm there.

With all the stuff going on at Lynn, it's more reason than ever to show our support at the Lynn ride. The way I understand it, all the proceeds go to the Lynn Ranger. This would go a long ways to show our support.

I got all the stunts loaded on the truck, but left the key on while loading and apparently ran the battery dead. I was able to do a rolling jump start but the engine was racing at idle and the lights would not work. I tried to open the hood and the lever broke off in my hand. >:( I called my wife to come get me and the kids.
So unless i get a ride from Haverhill to Billerica and that person has a truck there will be no stunts at the Lynn Woods on Sunday.

sorry

Despite the dismal morning weather, one small CT posse, made the trek to Lynn Woods. It was a pleasure to support the Lynn Woods cause.

This girl has one thing to say. Lynn Woods rocks, literally.
We had a great time, and will certainly make the trip again.

Got to huck, wheelie drop, climb, ride some rollers, the resulted a big smile across my face through out the ride. ;D

Thanks to all you guys out there, willing to provide tips and encouragement to us freeriding girls.

No other stories of rapture and delight? No pics or vids or fables of flight? Come out with the tales..Come out with the hails. Please tell all the facts and don't be shy, 'twas the Harpoon opener with the limits, the sky

Well..., I drove down from Maine by myself since all my friends are lame and scared of "wet rocks", wussies. Hooked up with Digger, and two other forum lurkers and we rode the advanced loop and then some. Got back to the ball field around 11. Saw Downfall Jim, Private Joker, Hardtail Wags and AZ chick (with her sweet new Heckler).. I just had to go back out and ride with them. I had a great wipeout on the long nemba board walk, came into the corner way too fast and when my front tire hit the bridge it was just like ICE! I went spinning and flipping about 12 feet down the boardwalk and ended up in the swamp totally soaked and and covered in muck. Good crash, it was fun!...plus I have a cool new battle scar on my back! Rode for a little bit more but I was really tired by then, and ready for beer, so I headed back, gave PK a hug and called it a day.

That was by far, the best crash I have ever seen. Todd took it like a man, got back up and pedalled right by me... I couldn't stop laughing... (I did stop between guffaws to make sure he was ok, honest)

and two other forum lurkers and we rode the advanced loop Woo Hoo... I'm somebody ;D I got mentioned in Todd's post, I guess this means I'll finally register (my boss is at the dentist) and lurk no more. Todd, great ride and good to meet you.
I hope we didn't slow you down too much, but I did notice after digger cut out you took off like a bat outta hell, and we didn't see you again till we got back to the event area. Lynn does rock, it was my first ride there and I'll be back for more soon.

Hopefully I can ride with and slow down more of you forum folks this summer.

Later (the new slow guy)
