Open invitation for a group ride on Saturday 3/27 at 9:30 at the Batchelor Street trails in Granby, MA. The ride will be at the advanced skill level, probably between 8-12 miles. The trails at Bachelor Street are incredible! You will experience the finest, technical singletrack in the Pioneer Valley. Mud should not be a problem. I have ridden here a few times this year and the drainage is better then most places. Directions from the MASS Pike: Exit 5. Route 33. Go north to the end and make a right onto Route 116 North. After you enter the town of Granby make a right onto Amherst St. Then make your first left onto Batchelor St. The dirt parking lot is on your left. From the Pike, it should take about 25 minutes. I hope to see some of the riders on the group ride back in the fall on the Rayburn trails. Craig

when you say advanced skill level are you refering to the terrain or the pace of the ride?

Early season fitness question?

thanks Greg

A lot of the terrain is advanced. Most of the singletrack trails were built by mountain bikers and are awesome! There's a lot of rock to nagotiate over and around, hills to climb or blast down, and twists and turns. Riders should be advanced for this ride so we can go at a decent pace without having to get off the saddle at every technical section. Early season fitness level should be sufficient. I know a lot of these words are subjective. Hopefully you will want to give it a try and can make it out. Craig
