Gotta drop a note to praise the support from Dean Bikes.

I just got my Colonel frame back, after a local shop had told me the head tube was ovalized. Turned out to be true, but only barely, and Dean and I agreed that installation of one of those bomb-proof long necked downhill headsets would be an acceptable fix. They installed one from FSA, charging only for the part, and completely reburnished the frame and applied new decals. The frame looks brand new.

I Paid a reasonable price for the headset and shipping, and nothing for the rest of the frame work or the extra derailleur hanger they threw in. Gotta love it.

It is good to hear about good customer service.

I can send a little praise along to SRAM, Crank Brothers and Seven Cycles.

My hardtail was in need of some TLC so I tore it down over the winter and have been fixing all the things I neglected over the past season. I found that I had bent one of the limit screws on my SRAM X.0 derailleur so I called SRAM and they are sending new parts out to me free of charge. I also broke on of my eggbeater pedals and called to order a rebuild kit and they gave me the option of getting the rebuild kit for free or upgrading to the new version of the pedal for $25. My pedals had seen some serious use so I went for the upgrade. I decided to replace the decals and refinish my frame since the bike was completely torn down. I wanted to do the work myself but needed some instruction and the folks at Seven were very helpful. I wish I could say the same thing about Rockshox. My mechanic had my SID for almost a month because they had to wait for parts from Rockshox. Well 3 out of 4 isn't bad and it isn't like I don't have plenty of other bikes to ride.
