When visiting relatives in Pennsylvania, I often take some time ride the Blue Marsh trails. They are not that technical, but total about 30 miles and run around a reservoir eliminating bailing as an option. I find it is a good way to see where my conditioning is. Does anyone know of a similar trail in the Eastern Mass (and beyond) area?

Mid-state Trail from Wachusett, north to Watatic, and back is around 32 miles, I think.

That sounds great. I just took a look at some of the reviews on mtbr and am definitely up for a ride this summer. Any other recommendations?

If you don't mind riding a few road miles you can connect some pretty long rides around here. Get out your Rand McNally road map and try to connect as much greenspace as possible. The boston bicyle route map available in stores is very handy to have as well. I do this all the time.

Otherwise you can put some long rides in up at Bear Brook State Park in NH. (very easy to do a 30 mile loop) The White Mountain region of NH has lots of trails you can connect for an epic ride.

Yah, in the whites Kancamangus or waterville valley area you could easily do 30+ miles.
Loads of fun

In September, BV Nemba runs the triple Basin Blast , with your choice of 15,25 and 35 Miles , which goes through Vietnam, Pepper corn Hill, Upton SF and around Lake whitehall. I did the 25 this past tyear and it seams like a LOT longer ! but it is a great ride.

Using singletrack in Arcadia and Pachaug you can get in 50+ miles in a loop. If requested I can provide details.

I would actually love any Arcadia details. My buddies and I have been wanting to check it out for some time. However, we would have no idea where we would be going. Do you have a map, etc.?
