What a mess!

Even notice what a mess a bike can be by March.

I have ussually rode at night during the winter.
Throw bike on car go ride...take bike off ....get into house.
Bike's only been washed in mud puddles since November.

Today's lunch ride was my first day ride since I don't know when. Cables are beat up...rear hub is a greasy mess.
Bike needs some real TLC.

No breakage all winter (that I remember)...today I busted my derailleur thingy on the way out of the woods. My trade mark move.

Boy that sun felt good tho.
Even took off the studs...for good I trust.

I also shed the studs this week. I went from solid riding on snowmobile trails to feeling like having 2 flat tires on my local dirt roads. I have 3 miles of dirt to ride before I get to a paved road and it is about as good a conditioning ride you can get, although the brown speckled outfit can be hard to explain to the non-bikers. There is one ride this time of year that can't be beat...the sap house tours! We have several in town that will give samples, leave the Gu at home.
