Finally got out to ride yesterday at Otis. Finished the ride unexpectedly covered in mud. Many trails still were covered with slick ice and many others are very soft and muddy and more than a few are already expriencing damaging erosion from riders, with the red clay-like undersoil getting churned to the top. Looks like there has been both ATV and MX usage to exacerbate matters.
I strongly recommend avoiding the trails closest to rte 28, as they are the softest and in dire need of drying out. Spread the word. I would hate to see these beautiful trails become permanently damaged because of ignorance.
