Rode from Rt 165 to the cabin on the shore of Dye Pond Sunday. The snow made the going slow but most of the trail was rideable. The parts that weren't rideable were the steeper climbs and short sections where the snow was deepest. I was able to average 6 mph helped somewhat by studded tires. With the studs I aimed for ice patches to get my speed up. The two others on the ride were studless and suffered a bit more. Near the cabin the trail is a frozen stream for hundreds of feet. Without studs its a hike but with studs it was fun. So it was a short, slow ride on a nice day but I can't wait for the snow to disappear. :D

Rode Wednesday afternoon starting on south side then looped over to north side mostly over near Breakheart pond area. It was about as icey as I have ever seen it. Basically a sheet of lumpy ice down the middle of the trails with soft crunchy snow on each side. If I had studded tires it probably would have been a great ride, however, since I don;t it was sti;; great to be outside. If you go out be careful. Orange ends this Sunday.
