hey there. yes, this sale is my first post as most of the time i hang out in the mtbr forums.
my stepdad bought this bike new in the spring of '03 as a way to get back into riding (he was a really-out-of-shape roadie). it's got less than 150 miles on it, and maybe 25 of those were off-road. since last august it's been collecting dust in his garage, so it was bequeathed to me.
i was going to convert it to ss, but decided a 4th bike would be absurd and rarely ridden ... so here it is:
it's a 19" frame (hardtail) - easton elite al.
marz. mxc air fork (80mm)
deore shifters/deore front/lx rear
raceface prodigy cranks on a shimano bb
deore v-brakes
rocky mtn stem & post w/ a new ritchey bar & serfas grips
mavic 139 rims on deore hubs w/ maxxis mofo tyres
the stickers are torn up where my stepdad used electrical tape to secure his pump to the down tube - don't ask, i don't understand either. but no dents and but a few cosmetic scratches. it's a little grimy, but will clean up good (i might even do that).
i have ridden it and it's sweet - very close to my brodie which cost about $500 more.
i'd love to get $650 for it, which proportionately is what i could sell it for in canada (i moved down to the framingham, ma area just recently), but i'll take the best offer. i'll post some pics soon - or email me for 'em:
