Well, I haven't been able to break my '01 Bullit frame yet. :P
If it ain't broke don't fix it, right?
Been upgrading components since late last season and finally have it the way I want it.
This bike will go anywhere, do anything, up or down ;D

New since the beginning of last season:
Marzocchi Z150 FR
Progressive 5th element
WTB Laser disc DH wheels
Race Face Diabolous 31.8 Stem & Bars
WTB 2.5 Weirwolves Race
Hayes HFX Mags
Titec Hell-Bent post
Bontrager seat

And I still have a few legacy components off my Raleigh if any of you might remeber that.

Here are some pics:

is that a titanium spring on your shock? i put one on my bullit late last summer.i didnt notice any difference in ride its just a lot lighter. how much change in weight is there in this setup. mine weighs 40.5 lbs but it only feels heavy on long climbs.

all the steel springs for the 5th look like ti, but it's a color thing. the only way you can tell is either by picking it up, or checking the part # on the spring.

yeah, it's a big weight difference though.

Mine is a steel spring. I'm not sure what the bike weighs, but I love the way it rides up, down and off. I might consider putting a ti spring on it, if it would mean significant weight savings.

on a $ per gram wt saving basis, it's a pretty good deal. the spring is pricey, but you do save a lot of weight and it's a lot easier than changing a bunch of pieces to get a similar weight savings, which *may* compromise strength (like bars, rims, cranks, etc).

Nice. This is my new setup, went from Full Suspension back to hardtail though.
