Nam? Foxboro? Etc? Did the snow melt yesterday? Don't know what's up for the weekend reguarding snow. Rain or snow?
Anybody?

I haven't ridden a bike in 3 weeks :-\

I'd also like to know... sometimes a fella needs some dirt.

The North/East suburbs are in pretty good shape. The warm weather in the day is making things a little sloppy but they are freezing back up. Last night was mainly packed crusty snow or rutted ice with the occasional untracked 3" of crust (hard going but doable).

Looks like the snow is coming though, as it just started here in Lexington.

Rode the powerlines yesterday at Nam following a Quad track and they were fine but the woods are just about impossible to ride in. Maybe wider tires than the Extremes would float better but with all the ice you won't get far without the studs.

It's supposed to get warm a few days this week though...maybe it'll melt.

Not enough for snowshoes and too much to ride on! >:(

Rode Foxboro yesterday morning. Icy with a bit of snow, but completely ridable. I do not have have studded tires, but fell only once because of the ice (standing still no less). Ditto for my two ride partners.

I rode Otis on Sunday 2/8. I'd say it was 80% bare and 20% ice/snow. It looked like quite a few people were riding without studs, myself included. About half of the ice could be avoided by riding the edge of the trail. It's the other half that made it interesting. Definately have to ride conservatively w/o studs. If you have to get a ride in and don't have studs, Otis is the place to go. With this tranquil weather pattern, Otis should be about the same this weekend.

I just finished riding Foxboro late this afternoon (2/10).

I'd say the trail conditions were very ridable. I had studs on and had no problems. My friend didn't and he had to be a little more careful but never went down.

I'd think it'll be fine (till it snows again),
