Anyone up for a ride in Foxboro on Saturday? It should be warm - like 20 degrees by the afternoon (well it will feel warm anyway). I'll be out there on my SS. Pretty open as far as the time goes. I work in Franklin and it looks like there is not too much snow up here, maybe an inch or so in the woods. The areas south of Providence picked up a few inches. Bringing my studs and regular tires just in case there's a ton of ice in there. Let me know if you are interested - Brendan

I'm thinkin of checkin out Franklin Saturday, and the Nam Sunday. Franklin is fun as long as it's cold enough. It's got a lot of nice downhill runs and berms and stuff, but the last time I went, it was a river. I'll let ya know how it goes.

I'm up for either Foxboro or Franklin, after 12:00. Let me know where you guys want to ride and what time and I'll be there. I'm going to swing by Foxboro at lunch and take a quick (very quick, it's damn cold!) walk into the woods in afew spots to see what the ice situation looks like.

Just went out to Foxboro at lunch. I hiked a .5 mile loop off of Granite st. There is about a half inch of snow in there, the only ice I saw was where a river had frozen over and across the trail. I'm leaning toward not using the studs and just riding my disc hardtail. There won't be enough ice to justify the studded tires - unless you want to ride around on the ponds in the area. I'm still aiming for after 12:00. Let me know when you guys want to ride.

I'm going to be in the main lot at around 12:30. I drive a silver Subaru with RI plates. There will be at least one other rider with me on a SS also. Hope to see one of you guys out there, it's too nice out not to ride today. I think it's already over 30 degrees, I'm breaking out the tanning lotion!

Brendan,

Good chance I'll be there, but it'll be hit or miss, my wife started her ride @ 10 with three others, and they were plannin a 2 hr ride...and from foxboro to my doorstep is 20 min drive.
Look for Blue Subaru Outback with MA plates - I'll be on silver SC Heckler...hope I get there in time to join.

Sorry we missed you Chris, it was fun even with the demise of John's freehub. I missed the Vietnam ride this morning, I was planning on hitting Wachusett but my girlfriend is sick w/the flu. I wanted to get out but I went back to bed, so in this case the saying you snooze you lose is very appropriate. Now I am relegated to going for a run in the wet snow. I can't wait to see the pics once the forums are back up @ ridemonkey.
