Just wanted everyone to know this is not the Nerac NE series schedule that Kevin spoke about in the previous post. It will be released shortly. Stay tuned. The new series looks pretty sweet.

Well I sure hope they have something less than 2 hours from Boston. Last I knew, Mass, NH, and Maine were part of New England too :-\

Hey Now! C.T. racing, is still alive. The courses are tough, and the riders are strong. The new race is a must, as the local is primo. Winsted should be ahh "interesting", again.
Lime Rockis so cool. If only for the fact that you have the famous race track, open for you and your bike. Cars take a back seat.
Hope to see a few known, shavin legged freaks out again this year!

Hey, nobody said CT racing was dead! With another series the riders have a choice and I think the new series will improve racing. ;D

the complete series can be seen here:

don't forget about the team competition.. up to 10 riders per team and individual placings go to determine the team score... adds lots of excitement to an otherwise great venue.
the smartcycles site includes both the CT series and the N.E. series (with three races in Vermont).

Hey...don't forget that we are adding a Sport Singlespeed, an Expert Singlespeed and 220+ Clydesdales category to the 2004 series as well!
These three categories fit into the overall RANKINGS system and make riders eligable for the Series Cash purse...
Lots of new stuff for 2004 in our program...details at www.smartcycles.com/racing.htm

Just remember everyone that the above posts are not part of the other NE series sponsored by Nerac and managed by DHD productions.
We are not affiliated with smartcycles and the events are not for the most part conflicting, so riders can race BOTH if they choose to.

i'm impressed with the number of different MTB race venues.
I suspect that there is room for all of them.
I did your race last year.

Thanks Charlie for the comments and attending the race last year.
I really don't want to have an"us" vs "them" contest. We tried to pick our dates so they wouldn't conflict. I tried my best to work with the other series so my race would not be on a series date. Conflicting races hurt everyone; the riders, the racers, and the officials needed to cover two seperate events the same day.
Hope you will still attend the Channel Three Event and a few others on our schedule. I've added a lot of new stuff so it should be a fun day.

I still feel badly that there was so much damage at the race last year. Mud everywhere, the grassy areas got very distressed, the shower drains plugged with mud . You must have had one heck of a time restoring it to pre-race conditions. I think my bike computer is still somewhere in one of those mud pits <G>. I sure hope this year will bring you lots of sunshine and dry conditions.
I have lots of respect for the work that promoters do.. lots of work, lots of risk and very little monetary payback.
