For any of you who are looking for a place to ride that has absolutely no snow and ice, head to Dogtown. I rode there today and the conditions were excellent. There's very little mud or water as well. I got about 15 miles in. Awesome day.

I rode the Snip today, it was also in excellent shape. No ice, no snow. It was frozen when I rode it, it will surely need a day or two to drain once the ground thaws. I stayed away from the north side of Soapstone, it was very icy last weekend, I'm sure it would have been muddy today. Likewise - I did about 15 excellent miles, though my granny gear died half way through, made some of the hills rather difficult.
I had to keep telling myself it was the end of December. I was certain I smelled spring a couple of times.

I guess that was wishful thinking back in December, eh, Jisch?
If the groundhog retires, don't go for his job. ;-)

Yeah - I did that ride in shorts and t-shirt. Amazing how quickly winter came after that ride. Except for the late but quick intro - its been a rather normal winter I think.
