current trail conditions

Rode this past Sunday first thing on both the north and south side. Very cold out!!! A bit of ice here and there, but the trails were in very good condition. A couple of crazy souls out ice-fishing. Did n't think the ice was ready yet but they were out in the middle of Breakheart pond. Hope no one falls through! Warmer temps and some rain upcoming for Christmas week. Happy Holidays to all.

What a difference 24 hours make. Rode again Monday afternoon and temps were 30 degrees warmer than on Sunday. The warmer weather has caused some trails to soften up and with rain and above dreezing temps. forecast for tomorrow this will further compound the problem. Unfortunately we seem to be in this up and down pattern with the temperatures thru this weekend so please try and avoid rutting up the trails. Maybe the south side is a better choice to ride since those trails seem to always be a bit drier than the north side until the weather gets back on track.
