what do all you riders out there like during the winter for riding? gadgets and gizmos that make winter riding a bit better or easier?
here's mine:
avid 7 in mechanical discs
nokian extreme 296 studded tires
a good pair of winter riding gloves
ultimate pro repair stand (easier cleaning)
a good helmet light (looking into the NR HID ones)
a good set of mtb fenders
stuff i already have that works well in the winter:
*EMS micro fleece liner gloves so thin you can put them into
regular riding gloves
*fox polar paws with fleece liner-gloves(ok, but looking for something better)
*specialized thinsulated riding gloves (good down to about 40 without wet snow, even lower with liner gloves)
*tioga DH pedals (i use them year round, but it really helps during the really slushy rides, no frozen cleats)
*smartwool/merino wool socks-wool, yet oh soo comfy
*snowboarding goggles (for blizzard biking)
*anti-fog lense treatment for biking glasses
*arm and leg warmers (so i can still wear shorts in teh middle of winter 8))
*north face windstopper neck gaiter
