I was just wondering if anyone out there has as interesting a view from their job as i do. Here at the beautiful Dudley T bus terminal in the very heart of Roxbury we never lack
excitement. Take this afternoon for instance.

Here is the crew just lurking about. We would like to go home but it seems one of the gun club ran into the store on the first floor and no one can leave until they make sure no one else is in the building.
I hope they clean up all that blood by the door. I dont want to track that into the house.

Nope nothing like that outside my window Bill! If these guys insist on playing with guns, instead of housing them at the tax payers expense lets just give them something today with all that talent....in the suni triangle!

I don't know what to think. I sit here in my plywood room wondering if its the place or the people or the world at large.
It doesn't matter the place i guess. That guy last week shooting his sisters lawyer around the tree didn't care where all those missed shots went. Snipers in D.C. killing at random. Moms drowning babies. Kids in Columbine. The Morrow building. The WTC.
Those people were diverse in their race, religion, wealth. They kill for a reason, They kill for other's reasons, They just kill to kill. They use guns, bombs, box cutters and bathtubs.
What do you expect from them?
They are they. Those people. The other. Not us
They live over there. In that place. Not here
We need not worry. We don't live there. We are different.
we are not Them
Are we?

Not Yet anyway! It is madness and I don't know if it is wourse than ever or just our awareness via the media. After all it is horrendous what goes on in some places and always had but never gets reported because it is of no import to America! Think africa or asia!
Keep your head down out there Bill.

This sort of thing is never ever going to stop ever. We should have marines at the mexican border. You try to get in, you get shot on site. PERIOD. There are way too many guns out there. The only ones (I'm gonna catch hell for this) that should have guns are military and police. There is no need for them. There should be mass executions for murderers. No trials, no court, no lawyers. JUST DEATH. People don't care. "Hey, I'm a useless piece of ****, I think I'll go out and kill 10 people today"
But no, this country has to be civil and politically correct. But ask yourselves this. Are we really more civil than say Iraq? I don't think so. So we don't have as many mass killings, just 100's of small killings. What's the difference? Nothing.
Makes me wonder why I even brought a little girl into this sorry ass world. My 6 year old kid has to live in this place. Her mom wants her to go to Radio City in New York next month for some school thing. I said "not gonna happen"
I stay the hell out of NYC.
This place is just phucked. Why do you think we all like being in the woods so much. It's absolute insanity out there.

bill, you're poetry reminds me of that of maya angelou...
Dr. Maya Angelou is a remarkable Renaissance woman who is hailed as one of the great voices of contemporary literature. As a poet, educator, historian, best-selling author, actress, playwright, civil-rights activist, producer and director, she continues to travel the world, spreading her legendary wisdom. Within the rhythm of her poetry and elegance of her prose lies Angelou's unique power to help readers of every orientation span the lines of race and Angelou captivates audiences through the vigor and sheer beauty of her words and lyrics.
Dr. Maya Angelou, The Official Website
For example:
Here, on the pulse of this fine day
You may have the courage
To look up and out upon me,
The rock, the river, the tree, your country.
No less to Midas than the mendicant.
No less to you now than the mastodon then.
Here on the pulse of this new day
You may have the grace to look up and out
And into your sister's eyes,
Into your brother's face, your country
And say simply
Very simply
With hope
Good morning.

Rent "Bowling for Columbine", it will all make sense. Actually it leaves you with more questions than answers, but thought provoking nonetheless. Charlton Heston is classic.
