Has anyone had an encounter with predators in the wild lately? I'd rather be moutain biking - look at this guy...

Ya think the shark might smell what that guy must have done in the lower half of his wetsuit? Ya think he turned around, or just stayed motionless. Great Whites are actually not aggressive by nature, but are provoked by certain movements. Actually once they taste human flesh, they usually let go and retreat. Kevin

The ultimate lie detector for these types of things is www.snopes.com. Anytime I see something on the 'net that makes me wonder, I go there and check it out.
Found this:

Oh - and its NOT a fake, its just not what you think it is. I don't think I would have figured that out without Snopes. It is still a very cool shot.

I don't care, shark or bottleneck dolphin, there would still be a brown log in the water from me. Knuck

Agreed knuck. Don't forget, my post was titled encounters with wild beasts, not sharks. I can't even go in the ocean if the water is 6' or more - that's enough for a poop session in my drawers.

Being cautious I was able to get fairly close to the beast.
