I don't like to cross post but maybe this belongs here...

Going eastbound I've been taking the bikepath at the park off the Bridge Street Watertown/Newton line for some time but westbound I need to pick Watertown Street (rt16). Today I went past the Bridge Street and found a new path that's being build. Right at the enterance there's a note that this place is being worked on (signed MDC). I still took it and it went for maybe 1/2 - 1 mile or so. At some point it ended and I had to take a street (North Street?) that eventually lead back to to the Watertown Street (rt 16).

Does anyone know if this new path goes further west towards Waltham?

I used to live right off the path next to the perkins school and commuted to boston by bike for years.
When I moved three years ago, the development project was well under way (I think it started in 97)
It was back then that I heard that the bike path when complete was supposed to end in waltham...

here's an interesting MDC page hilighting some of the charles river projects...look near the bottom at the "key project areas" it shows different plans of path and associated public park and related improvements. Quite a comprehensive webpage.
