UST Tubeless

Anyone have any experience with UST tubless? Better yet Mavic X3.1? Out of the 4 wheelsets that I'm considering, the XT Disc - Mavic X3.1 UST combo is my preference. I would like to hear any UST specific tire suggestions as well.


The other 3 I am considering are:

Shimano XT - Mavic 317
Alex Vectra D2 Disc
Sun Ringle Disc Jockey

Anyone running or know anything about Alex Rims / hubs? ???

I ordered a set of Mavic 3.1 UST disc w/ Chris King hubs from Jensonusa back in August. They've been solid for me since, & haven't yet needed truing. I'm running Continental Vertical/Explorer Pro UST combo these days, since they're similar in design to the already excellent non-UST Conti tires.
The XT disc hubs are cheap, pretty reliable, but heavy.

same here. Came on used sugar 4+. No problems at all. No air leaks. I have avid mechanical disk breaks. would not go back to vbrakes

Hey Adam, I ordered the exact same wheelset. I have WTB weirwolf 2.1's.
Are their specific tires for the Mavic UST rims or will just about any tubeless tire work?
