not only am I a member, but a client too. I finally been downhilling, am getting a DH bike, and have 2 permanent crash pads in Bethel 365 a year. One a big house, one a yurt in the state park. life got good for the hogster. I got me a season pass for the winter, and will get free DH season passes until the day I die. life is really good.

I am also a roofer in Portland Maine (until a tech job shows up someday) so I got a real job. pay sucks but it keeps me really fit. I am gonna roof so hard....and the team I work with are really cool and do excellent work, and ONLY roofing with ocean views. life got good for the hogster.

I will learn jumps and manuals as I am haning out with a kid who just turned Pro and his backyard has big drops to little drops, I have a learning ground, and cool riding buds (my old Team) and basically I went full circle and am a Mainer again for life.

Nice! Congrats on the return to the working class. Small bux are better than no bux.

Now you need a sled and I got just the one for ya ;)

Lemme know if you need help on the DH bike front. I'm hooked in and can pass info yer way.

I hope you will make it back for a few road rides or maybe PK will arange it so we can swing through Maine on one of our longer rides.
I am in Bethel during the ski season also. Roofing is not such a bad job...until winter.

Sweet! Portland is awesome. It's going to be a little tough to buy a house in Portland on a roofers salary, though.

Hey, whatever happened to HogBoy in his new found life? Did the soap-opera get canceled and just taken off the air or is it simply the season's cliff-hanger?

UPDATE: Hogboy is still alive ...

I bumped into him this weekend (when he stopped by my house in ME after a day at the mountain). He's broke, working as a laborer for a roofing contractor and arborist on a day to day basis up in Portland. Lives in an apartment with a room mate and has sold off almost all of his stuff to pay the bills. He is getting by and looks no worse for the wear.

He swears he is done with MA and high-tech for good. I can't blame him one bit.
