Jeez, are you slow or what. Do you remember Knuck's thread LAST WEEK where you were drooling over your X-maxes? Look again and you will see where I linked that site: http://www.nemba.org/yabbse/index.php?board=10;action=display;threadid=2515;st art=0

This is Pete Fagerlin's parody on Stan's No Tubes. He had the idea to raise cash for 'Nam by selling those t-shirts (the donations would also be eligible for IMBA's match).

So buy a shirt, man! Even better, spend $50 for the tire inflating devices!!

UST update: put on the tires, WTB weirwolf 2.1's onto Mavic D3.1 rims. What a piece of cake that was. Couldn't believe how easy it was. Only minimal Stans juice on the floor too, actually just a few drops. Tires inflated right up, pop, pop. Pumped them up to 35, rode the bike around the block a bit to distribute the Stans and checked the pressure the next day, 35. Now the trail will be the true test, but I think this UST thing is going to be ok. Todd (and other UST users) what pressure do you guys run at. I got mine at 35 which I thought was the recommended lowest and it seems STIFF as hell. Should I go any lower?

Glad to hear it was easy to do! even a Knucklehead can do it! I run around 4o-45 psi only because I do not want to slam the rim into a rock at high speed, but if its muddy and wet or snowy I run lower pressures. Plus at lower pressures tires can "BURP" during a wheelie drop or hard sharp turn so I would stay at 35psi for normal riding.

Now if you do get a flat, and hear a hiss, rotate wheel so the hole is down and the juice is pooling where the leak is. So far I've had three adverted flats and just kept riding, holes sealed up in two seconds and I haven't had to buy a new tire or patch it. STANS IS GOOD!

oh and to answer another question you had Kev, any "UST" tire will work with those rims.
