Check this out.
The Blackstone Valley Nemba group runs a fun ride each fall called the triple basin blast. Starts at Vietnam, and runs thru Peppercorn Hill, thru Upton State forest, to Lake Whitehall.
All followed by beers and burgers at the AAC near the Nam.
Highly recommended...I'm gonna try the 25 mile group this year. I did the 15 last year and had much fun. There is also a 35 mile group for those able.
Here's the e-mail I just got for those interested.
Cheers

This year's Triple Basin Blast will be on Saturday,
September 20. The TBB is a collection of the area's
finest riding with lots of great trails. There will be
3 routes and 3 groups of riders. Anne Sheppard will
lead a 15-mile route. Mitch Steinberg and I will lead
a 25-mile route and Steve Bryer will lead the 35-mile
route. The format and routes will be slightly
different than previous years so all three groups can
finish at approximately the same time. The 35-mile
route will start at 9:00, the 25-miler at 10:00 and the
15-miler at 12:00. They should all finish around 4:00.
The routes are fairly technical and feel like they are
much longer than they actually are. Be sure you're
mentally, physically and mechanically ready for a
challenge. Space is limited, please reply to me
only(don't hit "reply" or you'll spam the entire list)
if you're interested. For more details, see our
website, www.bvnemba.org.
