Mt. Pisgah - Trash Pickup

If you happen to be riding Mt. Pisgah, bring along a trash bag or two -- apparently the local "yutes" had a pre-school beer blast on the north overlook last night. When I got there this AM the fire was still smoldering and there was trash everywhere. It's pretty disgusting. I'll defend their right to party, but could they at least pick up after themselves?

On the bright side, out of the trail of camping equipment left behind during the stagger from their "campsite" to the parking lot, I picked up a good flashlight and a new stuff sack.

Are the trails out there any good? I have never been out there.

They aren't bad -- kinda confusing if you don't know it well, and there are no really good maps. It's very much like the Marlboro side of Callahan SP in terms of overall feel -- perhaps a bit rockier and rootier. There are a couple of nice overlooks to the east. I wouldn't drive a long way to ride it (it's my local ride) but if you're in the area it might be worth a try.
