HEY!!, All you riders who are familliar with the Harold Parker State Park trails. I could use some help sweeping this ride and making sure i dont lose anyone, again.

We have been gradually increasing the challenges for the riders on the skills clinics. We always cover the basics for new attendees and provide individual attention to riders specific concerns. The ride at Harold parker will focus on "clearing obstacles". This means going over things in the trail instead of around. It is a class and we will repeat the same trail or obstacle as many times as the riders wish until they feel comfortable with the skill. We don't go far or fast, but if you like to jump over logs and rocks or want to learn how, you will have fun. Alternate instruction will be available for those needing practice with basic skills
Directions: We will meet at the parking area at the corner of Harold Parker Road and Jenkins road. From 93 take rte 125 north and take a right at the State Police barracks. Continue through the park and a residential area to the end of the road, Parking lot is directly across from the end of the road.
From 495 take 114 east to 125 north. Turn left at the state police barracks and follow directions above
Agenda :
Ø 6:30 – 6:45 Gather at Kiosk at Berry Pond/Jenkins Rd. parking lot
Ø 6:45 - 7:30 Balance Drills / Lectures
o Handling a Fall
o Cat Drills
o Handling Drills
o Track Stands
o Lifting Front Wheel
o Clearing Obstacles (over, not around)
Ø 7:30 - darkness Trail ride. Focus will be on clearing obstacles. Logs, rocks, and the occasional fallen rider. Everyone will be encouraged to attempt every challenge. All will be waited for and if needed we will split the group into 2 ability levels.
Items to Bring:
Ø Working Bike
Ø Helmet , Gloves
Ø Water
Ø Bug repellent
Ø Positive attitude, confidence, cheerful disposition
