Harry won't be able to lead this months "Fagaowee" ride so I will...
When: Saturday, 7/12
Where: Casalis State Forest, Peterborough, NH
Meet: 9:30 am, Ride 9:45, length of ride: 2 hrs +/-
Level: there are a few real intermediate sections of trail, (but what you can't ride, you can walk)
Aesthetic level: Very high. These are some of the prettiest trails I have ever been on. Just bee-u-t-full!

Directions: take rte 101west to Peterborough; at the blinking yellow light, turn onto rte 123 south (this is well before Peterborough center); Casalis is about 1 mile down on the left, there is brown sign and a small dirt parking lot. I'll be driving a maroon Passat.

This is not going to be a true Fagaowee ride because I sort of know my way around, but there still will be parts to explore. :D

Well, the fog burned off, the sun came out, it turned into a wonderful day, and some of us enjoyed the ride. :-\
Because of the rain, the trail was slippery as an eel and maybe a bit tougher than I thought it was going to be. :-X
8 riders started, 10 min in one went down and came up with a bent derailleur, but was able to fix it. 20 min after that, one lost the bolt that connects the rear shock to the frame, and he walked out. At the bail out point 3 bailed. The 4 of us went on, (walking carefully over the bridges, because there was a super slick film on them from the damp) for another 1 1/2 hrs, riding the most pretty trails around. Babbling brooks, ferns, mt laurel, hemlock groves, wild flowers. Ya, ya, ya, all very girly, you say. But there were lots of climbs, great downhills, rock gardens, logs etc. too.

A (sort of fuzzy) shot of the guys fixing the derailleur from across one of the babbling brooks.
